Textures @ Emulation64.com Site
Now that you have uploaded your files and made the new entry to the correct place: Complete or WIP it is time to link them to the textures.emulation64.com site via the Admin Backend.
Go to http://textures.emulation64.com and at the very bottom of the page you will see an Admin link.
Log in with your Textures Site Admin login details and click Login (If you would like to be a part of this please let us know)
Ok now on Pages: click on Downloads and the page ready to Edit/add contents will be seen.
Scroll down to the section of the template you will be adding the new entry to Complete/WIP and write in the:
Name: (Name Of Game and brief Ref) ie: Super Mario 64 Sunshine
Now highlight the name and using the hyper link button use the link type drop down menu and select URL to insert the Entry you made on the File Management do not link the actual file, just the section so you can read info and all files in that entry
Make sure the target set is New Window (_blank) and then click the OK button
By doing this, clicking the file name it opens a new page for download and does not take you away from the site.
Description: (Nice description of the pack see mine for more ideas)
Author: (Name of the pack Authors/Authors') Now link the Authors emutalk profile and make sure the target set is New Window (_blank)
File Size: (Size that displays on the File Management section for that entry) If it says 12.54MB just write 12.5MB
If it is a multiple split entry Ie Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 etc Just put the overall size and Split after like i have already done
Release Date: (Date of the original Emutalk Thread post) unless stated a date it was updated and then you use that.
Ok once that is done you click on the button 'Save Updates'
You have updated the 'Downloads Page'
Uploading an Image
To upload a image to use in a post is quite simple and very easy to do
On the Page Management click on Files and then make sure you are in the folder you want to upload to.
Once you are, on the right hand side of the page click on upload files and/or images...
You will then have the uploads file dialog pop up where you select your file and then click the OK button
You will now see the image you just uploaded to use in any post you desire
Posting News
To make a news post is also quite simple and very easy to do
On the Page Management on the right hand side of the page click on News Manager
Now click on the Create New Post tab and write in the title of the post and content
If you want to insert an image into your post just click on the insert image button at the top of the content field
and the Image Properties dialog will pop up. Click on the Browser Server Button.
You will now see the File Browser section. Click on the image you wish to use and it will then be placed
in the Image Properties dialog dialog ready for you to resize or link if you wish. As it happens we will link a URL
in the image so when you click on it you are taken to that link.
Click on the Link tab and in URL enter the Web Address and in the Target drop down select the
New Window (_blank) option so on click the image it opens a new page and then click the OK button
You will now see your image inserted into your content area and once you are reading to
to post your news click on the Save Post button. to post your new news.
